Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer 100% Embroidered Cloth Patches & PVC Patches. Whether you are searching for the official heraldry patches, or looking to make a custom design, we have you covered.

  • Well, it really depends on what you are looking for. Embroidered patches have the classic aesthetic, tend to be a little cheaper to produce, and often have a quicker production turn-around. On the other hand, PVC patches offer a whole new level of detail as they use a stacked level manufacturing process that allows for three-dimensional elements, crisp lines, vibrant colors, weatherproof, and highly durable. They do tend to be slightly more expensive to produce and have an average 20% longer production time.

  • Our default is to have Velcro (hook & loop sewn on to all patches, allowing for quick changes on flight suits, gear, or whatever else your team may place their patches. This is already included in the price of your patches. If you would prefer to have a plain background suitable for sewing, let us know and we’ll make it happen. You can subtract $0.25 per patch if ordered without Velcro.

  • Patches are one of the things that become significantly cheaper when ordered in quantity. With that said, for custom, new design patches, we have a MOQ of ten patches. For price point, your best deals are going to be on 100+ patches. But hey… you can always sell the extra patches as a fundraiser!

  • Yes! The days of basic shaped patches are over. With the hot-cut border option, we can make patches in all shapes and sizes.

  • Yes! We love to see and hear your ideas. We are here to help as much or as little as you need.

If you have a fully vectorized design, perfect! (Our favorite btw). If you have a pencil sketch, great! Our design team will turn it into a digital file for free! If you simply have an idea in your head, shoot us a message and we will help put that idea to full-fledged design.

  • Keep in mind that the patches are being made by machine. While we will try to incorporate as much detail as possible, some more complex designs will be simplified due to the limitations of the embroidery machine. If a lot of detail is a must, consider a PVC patch. While there are limitations in creating a mold, you can retain more crisp details with the PVC manufacturing.

  • First-time orders of custom patches take a little longer as the digital guides need to be created for the embroidery machines, or molds made for the PVC patches. On average, 5-6 weeks is a good estimate for creating a new patch from scratch with no artwork. Obviously, the timeline can shift significantly if you come in with vector artwork that requires minimal rework.

The good thing, for patch reorders, production time gets chopped down to 3-4 weeks depending on quantity.

  • A lot can influence the cost of a patch including size, complexity, backing, and need by date. Hop on over to our Patches Pricing page for some general estimates.
